[DhtmlXQ_comment0]潘炮从澳门回广州后，棋支赠他“闭目将军”徽号，他欣然接受。一天，棋友云集添男茶楼，棋手潘权对潘炮说：“你有合指一算的妙术，神机莫测，不如称之为‘合指将军’，较为切当。”因为潘炮下闭目棋时习惯用手指默记号数，故少错漏。潘权说后，即有棋友请潘炮和潘权对一局，潘权不甘示弱，犹贤室主邱炳然在旁，自愿做公证，并记录着法。于是潘炮与潘权俱不用棋盘棋子，两人都用口说着法。这一局棋很有特色，不但二潘用口弈，犹贤室主也不用棋枰而笔记着法，并且在旁观战的棋友同样不用棋枰，而默想他们的局势。结果，“闭目将军”潘炮竟告败北。犹贤室主笑对潘炮说：“你这门二十四生的大炮，为什么不敌赤手空拳？”因“拳”与潘权的“权”同音，所以用这话戏他。犹贤室主即向潘炮声言要将此局发表于《越华报·弈林》，潘炮表示同意。后果在《弈林》第二〇七号发表，全局如下：[/DhtmlXQ_comment0]
